Investigating Loan Denials by Credit Technologies and MeridianLink

Maginnis Howard attorneys are investigating a series of loan denials due to credit reporting agencies providing inaccurate information. Credit Technologies and MerdianLink are at the center of this investigation. Credit Technologies is a consumer reporting agency that combines credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union for resale as a merged credit report to lenders and affiliates such as MeridianLink. However, we are currently investigating whether Credit Technologies is misreporting or duplicating data obtained from Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union when reselling merged credit reports to creditors. Duplicate data – even positive data – can create significant issues with approvals for something like a mortgage or automobile loan because it paints an inaccurate picture of a borrower’s credit history, delinquency history, debt to income ratio, and other factors necessary in loan approval

If you’ve been denied a mortgage loan based upon inaccurate information in a consumer report prepared by Credit Technologies or another consumer reporting agency the consumer protection attorneys at Maginnis Law would be happy to discuss your rights and provide you with a free case evaluation. To schedule a free consultation with one of our consumer protection attorneys, you may reach us at (919) 526-0450, by email at info@carolionalaw.com, or through our contact page.
